Test Kogaion

We are looking for installers of Kogaion, last OS produced by Romanian team of developers, so … I installed one myself.
I installed Kogaion on my laptop  Dell Latitude D630.
I downloaded the image here: http://bpr.bluepink.ro/~rogentos/iso/kogaion/.
Using  RUFUS  on Windows I have “burned” a USB stick to start an installation using the downloaded ISO image.
More about the team and other issues can be found on the site http://rogentos.ro/

For now … tests tests and findings.

I am expecting you to try this too !

Your site is IPV6 READY

Right below to the side  button is a small banner, which says that this website is  ipv6 ready. This means that for some time the site is ipv6 ready http://xenno.org , entered in IOT (Internet of Things) as I like to say about IPs ipv6.
Eh … how did I do that?
First I tuned the DNS records for IPv6, AAAA record and have completed an IPV6 IP provided by those where I host this website. They have so many right now as they gave me a whole class … I’m not going to use them all so I did set up only a few.
My beginnings with the hosting service were with them in their offer 1 IP IPV4 and 5 IP’s of  IPV6  and then changed it and they gave me a whole class.
How IPV6 was at the start days when I started to get hosting from these people, I did not have mush to do with the five IP’s just only to configure local IPv6  server VPS assigning IPv6 local IPs to five different accounts. I noticed that it did not help because those IP’s did not exit through their nodes and so it remained configured on local VPS accounts. Continue reading Your site is IPV6 READY

Windows 10

Windows 10
Windows 10

I always liked to write about open source and …. I always liked to test operating systems.
This means that starting with Windows Vista I took part in the testing of closed source operating system (hehe) – owner – to give a critical eye on this operating system.

As you know I like to use free software development. In this period, the Windows version came out with Windows 10 (so easy) which, it seems, it will be free. Reaching such a creative power that it allows you to create something free on your money seems absurd but unknown are the ways … and probably not difficult to predict.

To test this version of Windows you need a Microsoft account (whether it’s live, hotmail or outlook) to prove that you test this operating system. I have a tester account for some time and my account is Gmail : D .

DVD image is downloaded somewhere here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-iso

The “burn” on a DVD and then installed on a computer. We recommend testing a computer, not a production, being vulnerable sensitive data on the disk because the state is the operating system.

After installation follow updates and upgrades. Many “bugs”, especially after upgrading to version 10041, which wants the latest version. After this upgrade “dies” application “Mail, Calendar, and People” only marks.

What I like to repair is that it appeals to the console 😀 . Open a powershell (or administrator account “run as administrator”) and enter this command:

Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like "*windowscommunicationsapps*"} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online

Once entered this command you can go to “Store” (Store) to download and install the application again. Until you run the above command, you get all sorts of errors related to this application.

To fix the problem appeared with “Mail, Calendar, and People” run the above command in PowerShell in Windows Run as administrator : D

Other bugs (bugs) are and as the test …. return : D

How to redirect the old domain to the new one?

A question that appears on move: How to redirect the old domain to the new one?

I have a blog, and can be read at http://blogvechi.com and decide that it’s time to move him, to do something new, to bring more of the written or any other reason, the address http: // blognou.com.

After you make sure everything is copied and installed in the new location, I noticed that my readers are still looking for the old address and the new one does not get anyone to read. All you have to do is to define the root htaccess file redirecting the old site.

This denotes that you are still old domain owner.

The few lines can help me get rid of this problem and other problems that result from such a move.

When you migrate a site from one domain to another, it is important not to break all ties that you were built to the old you. Proper forwarding of all pages on the old domain to the same location on the new field will ensure that our old domain will get to the right place. Without this redirection will have a loss of visitors and search engine rankings.

Suppose your web server using Apache for the purpose of this tutorial. If you have not made changes to the structure of your site overall, and you simply moved the site in its current state, you can add the following lines to the file located in the old root domain htaccess .

<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
  RewriteEngine On
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^olddomain.com$ [OR]
  RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.olddomain.com$

Is it possible to create rules that will redirect URLs that follow a certain pattern to a new location. Since these rules involve complex regular expressions, they are not explained here. A professional SEO can help you to create these complex rules in a specific situation. Just make sure you use a 301 redirect for content moved. Any other type of redirection will not keep your search engine rankings (Google for example).

Vector Graphics Editor – UBUNTU

Windows equivalent : Adobe Illustrator

Ubuntu equivalent : Inkscape

Inkscape is a free software vector graphics editor, licensed under the GNU General Public License. Its goal is to implement full support for the Scalable Vector Graphics 1.1 standard. An Open Source vector graphics editor, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X, using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Inkscape is cross-platform and runs on Mac OS X (typically under X11, although the underlying GTK+ toolkit can be compiled to run natively under Quartz),Unix-like operating systems, and Microsoft Windows. Inkscape’s implementation of SVG and CSS standards is incomplete. Most notably, it does not yet support animation. Inkscape has multi-lingual support, particularly for complex scripts, something currently lacking in most commercial vector graphics applications. The word Inkscape is a portmanteau of the words ink and landscape.

sudo apt-get install inkscape
Access it through Applications † Graphics † Inkscape Vector Graphics Editor.

HackeD By Dr.SHA6H | Fuck All Site

I do not know how many of you had it … but It happened to me. I recently found two sites that were done on WordPress platform and who were on the same server affected by a Dr.SHA6H. Who is it, and what he does in his spare time … does not really matter, the fact is that the two sites continued to display the text “Hacked by Dr.SHA6H | Fuck All Site” and the content of those sites were inaccessible.

On one of these sites I tried to fix it by reading the files in it. I found something in header.php, functions.php and footer.php. I tried to remove the extra code and I could not get rid of the error. I searched the database and found that it was damaged and trying to fix it, I ruined the structure of it. Finally for this site, I had it  fixed by reinstalling a new database and recovery of the remains of the old one.

For the second site I said to ask ‘friend’ Google if someone has been affected and published how to fix this. I have found something useful here and it helped me a lot to fix on the second one.

I have found a widget that I disabled in the Appearence—->Widgets.

I have found Site Title changed and I recovered it from Settings—->General.

I have found UTF7 instead of UTF8 and I restored into Settings—–>Reading.

That was it. The site is now up … unharmed …

I hope it will be useful to you … but it’s better to not need … right?

Hello ScrubIt !!! This is Public DNS

I do not know how many of you are interested in page content when browsing the internet. You, the adults may not have any concern, but with little ones … concerns arise.
Someone said that a child should operate a computer around the age of 15 years. Someone else said that a child should not get interdiction only limitation. Prohibition attract curiosity but putting limits you can do it directly or indirectly. What if you could put some limits without those around you knowing that? What if you had the opportunity to somehow filter content page?
Of course there are many tools but today I stopped at one: Scrub Public DNS. Continue reading Hello ScrubIt !!! This is Public DNS
