HTML Colors – Names
The X-11 Color Set
There are two ways to put colors in HTML documents. One is to insert color code and the second is to insert color name. About the color codes I wrote a previous article and this one  it will handle the color names. In a file .html you can enter a line that defines a color as follows:
EX:
<font color=#FF00FF> <b> text </ b> </ font>
or
<font color=magenta> <b> text </ b> </ font>
which as shown in the note is the same
<font color=fuchsia> <b> text </ b> <font> tags
Following the example above you can “color” used in the html page.The following table shows the so-called “color” set of X11 colors “and includes a range of colors and color names that are associated with the color.
- Notes:
- Fuchsia is the same color code as Magenta
- Aqua has the same color code as Cyan
- Lightgrey is written with an “e”, grays others are written with “a”
- Darkgray is actually easier than Gray
- Lightpink is actually darker than pink
